In 1937, Munich, Germany, The Nazi party opened “Entartete Kunst,” meaning, “Degenerate Art.” The exhibit was a collection of confiscated art intended to show the public the insanity, atrocity, and depravity of the modern art movement. Artists included in the show were meant to be depicted as demented, deranged, and subhuman.
