Margaret Wagner's exhibit of light-box constructions was installed in GalleryINSEKT from 21 March to 17 April 1998. Eleven units in all, several flashing, some etched, and some static, Wagner's lightboxes illuminated the gallery with a moody and emotive sense of strangeness. The etchings on some of the plexi panels seemed to make connections between technology, the familial units and relationships, and genetics.

Currently Wagner is a professor at The University of Massachusetts at Boston. Prior to this position she had the impressive position of Chair Of Photography Department at RIT in Rochester, NY. Wagner's list of exhibitions, involvements, and experience read like a resume of someone twice her age. Such enthusiasm and motivation as Margaret Wagner posesses is unique and highly esteemed.

After exhibiting at INSEKT, this collection moved on to a sponsored and respected solo exhibition of Margaret's work in Dallas, Texas, for the month of May.
